Brown fused alumina is refined in the electric arc furnace under the high temperature of above 2200℃, with the abrasive bauxite, anthracite, iron chips as the main raw materials. It is characterized by good chemical stability, high hardness, strong toughness and grinding force, the resistance to high temperature, corrosion and scour, good fluidity and low coefficient of linear expansion.
Brown fused alumina, known as industrial teeth, is mainly used in shaped and unshaped refractories, grinding wheels, cutting discs, precision casting, casting coatings, abrasive cloths, abrasive sheets and rolls, whetstones, sandblasting and derusting, polishing, wear-resisting flooring, hydraulic cutting, grinding, functional fillers and other industries.
